What is Ozone?
Ozone (03) is a completely natural, colorless gas with a fresh odor, similar to the "clean, fresh spring rain" smell you get after a thunderstorm. Ozone is produced quite easily in nature, as a result of lightning during thunderstorms and when the sun's ultraviolet rays react with the earth's upper atmosphere (creating a protective ozone layer). It's a natural molecule made up of 3 oxygen atoms.
Ozone is one of the world's most powerful sterilizing agents, up to five times more powerful than chlorine at destroying germs, bacteria and viruses. Once generated, ozone is fairly unstable, with one of its three oxygen atoms breaking away from the molecule and attaching itself to any particle or pollutant with which it comes into contact. Its "active" lifespan is short, so to be useful it needs to be made fresh on site.
When used correctly, ozonators offer a wide range of uses as disinfectants and sterilizers. Anything you need to clean, neutralize or deodorize will benefit from ozonated water. For example:
- Purifying drinking water
- Sponge sterilization
- Disinfect bedding
- Denture soaking
- Sterilization of kitchen/bathroom items
- Eliminate unpleasant odors (deodorize dirty laundry, etc.).
A common practice is to drink ozonated water, and for more limited use, ozonated olive oil. Either preparation is capable of acting as a bactericide and against various parasites present in the digestive tract, as well as providing oxygen to the organs. To ozonate a glass of water, 5 to 7 minutes are sufficient. To ozonate olive oil, allow 20 to 30 minutes.
To ozonate any liquid, simply attach one of the included plastic tubes to the ozonator. At the other end of the tube, attach one of the ozonator stones. Place the stone in the liquid you wish to ozonate (be it water or oil) and let the ozonator run.
Introducing the Oxygenius Ozonator
Specially designed for ozonizing oils, liquids and foods.
The ideal way to ozonize liquids (water, etc.) and natural oils , and even food.
Box Contents
The "Ozonator Oxygenius" box contains:
- An Oxygenius Ozonator;
- Two Stones for ozonation
- A large round or cylindrical stone: used for ozonizing water and containers with larger openings.
- A smaller cylindrical stone: Ideally suited to narrower containers and fewer liquids, such as vegetable oils (olive oil, thistle oil, etc., as well as dermatological applications).
- 2 plastic tubes to be attached to the Oxygenius ozone outlet, for ozonizing liquids;
- 2 fastening screws for wall assembly (optional), should you wish to wall-mount the unit.
Oxygenius Ozonator instructions for use
To switch on theOzonator, plug the power cable into the socket; the red control light will glow; then turn the timer to the desired operating period.
The Oxygenius Ozonator starts up audibly. The control lamp now glows green. You may notice an "ozone smell". Now connect the plastic tube to the container.
To switch off the Ozonator before the desired time has elapsed, set the timer to "zero" and the Ozonator simply shuts down.
You can also pull the plug, but this is not recommended.
Basically, there are 2 types of ozonator use.
1. Add ozone to water.
2. Put ozone in oil, e.g. olive oil.
Ozonizing a liquid such as water or olive oil
Attach one end of the clear plastic tube to the outlet of the ozonating container (in front of the ozonator). Then choose the appropriate stone to ozonate. Usually, the larger stone is used for water and the smaller one for oil. Switch on the Ozonator. Set the timer for the desired operating period in minutes. Place the stone at the bottom of the container containing the liquid you wish to ozonize. If you want to stop the Ozonator before the time has elapsed, simply set the timer arrow to "OFF". Once the preset time has elapsed, the unit automatically switches off.
The device must be used in accordance with the instructions in the manual.
Ozone 's applications are many and varied.
Warranty: The "Ozonator" comes with a two-year technical warranty.
